Now taking Applications for the 2024 Honorary Mayor’s Race 

The Honorary Mayor’s Race for East Hillsborough, supported by the Valrico FishHawk Chamber of Commerce, is a non-political competition where candidates campaign to raise funds for their chosen charities or nonprofits. Throughout the campaign, candidates engage in different fundraising events, community outreach activities, and networking opportunities to garner support for their cause. The candidate that raises the most money becomes the Honorary Mayor for the year.

The race will take place between September 1 - September 30, 2024.  A victory event will follow to include participants and their benefiting charities, announcing the winner!  The Honorary Mayor will be included in the Brandon Parade of Lights Christmas Parade in December.

Building on the momentum of the 2023 race, VFCC is committed to continuing this tradition of giving back to our community. Aspiring candidates from East Hillsborough are invited to step forward and showcase their leadership skills and dedication to philanthropy.

• Each candidate shall pay a non-refundable fee of $50 for background check
